Tanzania: Climate & Weather
The climate separates the year into two main seasons: The dry season from May to October and the rainy season from November to April. But the latter is divided into two periods: A light rainy season in November and December, and a heavier rainy season in March and April.
The highest temperatures are experienced between December and February. This is, however affected by the geographical areas: The high plateau of the interior is characterised by a more tropical climate and the coast by an equatorial type climate. The dry season is a very pleasant time to visit Tanzania, but less favourable for discovering the animals of the Serengeti. |
