Entry to the territory: Allowed
Myanmar is now open to fully vaccinated tourists. Myanmar started issuing tourist eVisas on May 15, 2022.

Foreigners can now apply for a tourist visa online and travel to Myanmar on a commercial flight. Myanmar business eVisas are also being issued.

All foreign arrivals must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to enter Myanmar.

Passengers must have a printed COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing full vaccination at least 14 days before arrival.

Passengers under the age of 12 traveling with fully vaccinated parents or guardians do not need a vaccination certificate.

You must have a COVID-19 test to travel to Myanmar. Passengers are required to take a PCR test no more than 72 hours before arrival in Myanmar. The test result must be negative.

Children under the age of 6 are exempt from pre-departure testing requirements.

Travelers are subject to an Antigen Rapid Diagnostic (RDT) test on arrival in Myanmar.

Lockdown: Partial
As a result of the recent military coup d’état in Burma, COVID-19 restrictions and policies may change without notice.

Public gatherings can now be held for up to 400 people, up from a limit of 200 previously.

The health situation is getting worse as the junta's government appears to not be up to the task of running the country.

Closures vary by region. In most of the country:

Government employees have been ordered to return to work as usual.

Most shops and businesses, and restaurants have reopened.

Hotels are allowed to open after passing a government inspection.

Restaurants are again allowed to offer only delivery or takeaway services.

Bars, clubs, karaoke venues, and other entertainment venues have been ordered to close after a spike in new cases.

It is compulsory for anyone going out in public to wear a face mask.
