Benin: Climate & Weather
The climate is decidedly tropical in the south with the long dry season lasting from November to March and the smaller dry season during July and August. A short rainy season occurs around September and October although the main rain arrives between April and June.
In the north, the rainy season occurs between May and September; during the dry season temperatures can climb to 40°C with the harmattan blowing dry dusty air. Travelling there between December and March will enable you to visit Benin under the best conditions both in the north and the south. |
