Andorra: Climate & Weather
Highly influenced by its altitude at an average of 2,000 metres, the climate in Andorra is however Mediterranean in type; very sunny combining snow in winter and pleasant temperatures even in summer when the maximum does not generally go beyond 30°C.
In winter, temperatures tend to stay between 2 and 15°C. An Atlantic influence does bring fairly regular rainfall balanced by a lovely Mediterranean light. Spring and autumn are very pleasant with warm temperatures. Very mountainous, there are 62 peaks over 2000m including Mt Coma Pedrosa rises to 2 946 m. 3 large valleys share the principality, one of them (Madriu-Perafita-Claror) is listed as a World Heritage Site. The climate is continental: cold and especially snowy winter, hot in summer. |
