With 200,000 inhabitants, Siem Reap is the capital of the eponymous province, located near the site of Angkor, in northwest Cambodia. Tourism development has begun in the early 2000s. In addition to the temples of Angkor, there are many attractions in Siem Reap, such as its colonial architecture, monasteries, and the Tonle Sap Lake, or the night markets where one can find many handicrafts.
