Provisions for travellers
Entry to the territory: Allowed
Entry to Niger is only permitted for Nigerien nationals, persons with valid residency and foreign nationals with valid visas.
Test is not required for passengers who hold proof that they have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19 at least 28 days prior to travel.
Passengers must hold a negative PCR test result obtained within 72 hours prior to arrival. The required validity of the test is 5 days for passengers travelling from a country in West African Economic and Monetary Union (Benin, Burkina Faso, Côte D’Ivoire, Guinea-Bissau, Mali, Niger, Senegal, and Togo).
Passengers will be subject to temperature checks on arrival.
As of March 17, 2022, quarantine is no longer required for passengers entering Niger with a negative PCR test. The PCR test must be less than five (5) days if the traveler is coming from a UEMOA member country (Benin, Burkina Faso, Côte D’Ivoire, Guinea-Bissau, Mali, Niger, Senegal, and Togo). The PCR test must be less than 72 hours if the traveler is coming from any other country, including the United States. The Traveler must also be fully vaccinated, the last dose or single dose vaccine must have been taken at least four (4) weeks prior to arrival in Niger.
The measures relating to self-isolation for seven (7) days remain in force for any traveler entering Niger who does not present a negative PCR test dated less than five (5) days if coming from UEMOA member countries, and less than 72 hours for other countries. The same requirement applies to travelers who are not fully vaccinated, the last dose or single dose vaccine was not taken at least four (4) prior to arrival in Niger. The traveler must undergo a free antigen test for COVID-19 on the 7th day at a site approved by the Nigerien Ministry of Public Health.
