What to do in New York : Tips, places, hotels and restaurants
The most populous U.S. city, New York has more than eight million inhabitants: it is a global economic and cultural centre and therefore an incomparable tourist destination. Served by three airports, the city welcomes forty million tourists every year. A cosmopolitan city, it consists partly of areas related to the origins of their inhabitants. Skyscrapers are among the major features of New York; the Empire State Building, the Chrysler Building, the Flatiron Building, and the Trump World Tower are a few world renowned examples. Other places that should be visited during a stay in the city include Times Square, the Statue of Liberty, Brooklyn Bridge, Central Park, Fifth Avenue, Ground Zero, the Broadway theatres, Carnegie Hall, Madison Square Garden, the Blue Note, the Bronx Zoo, and Coney Island Amusement Park among others and there are also many famous museums such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Museum of Modern Art. Travelling around the city can be achieved through the use of the well-known yellow taxis, but also using the metro, the latter boasting nearly 500 stations. You'll have no trouble finding accommodation anywhere in the city... if you are prepared to pay the price! New York is an expensive city, but you will be seduced by this megalopolis and its diversity, its fast pace, and its excessiveness.
