Provisions for travellers

Entry to the territory: Allowed
The Government of Kosovo updated entry/exit and other requirements effective August 30.

With limited exceptions, every person who enters Kosovo must produce one of the following:

1. A vaccination certificate for complete vaccination or receiving a dose of COVID-19 vaccine;
2. A negative RT-PCR test for COVID-19, no more than 72 hours prior;
3. Evidence the individual has recovered from COVID-19 (a positive RT-PCR test issued not less than 21 days prior and not more than 180 days prior or a positive serological antibody test issued not more than 30 days prior);
4. A rapid negative antigen test no more than 48 hours prior. Individuals who are only transiting Kosovo and will leave within 3 hours and those under the age of 18 do not need to provide a negative RT-PCR test.

Airlines, transit points, and destination countries impose a patchwork of different testing requirements and airlines may refuse boarding for some passengers (including Kosovo residents). Airlines have the sole authority to decide who they allow to board their aircraft. Pre-travel testing can help avoid expensive and time-consuming delays or cancellations.

Citizens of the Republic of Kosovo, as well as persons with temporary or permanent resident permits, who enter the Republic of Kosovo and do not possess the evidence required above must self-isolate for 7 days. Others may be denied entry.

Tests: Negative PCR test results is required for all countries.

Quarantine: Depends
