Lockdown: Partial
The Government of Iraq is increasingly requiring proof of vaccination for those entering government buildings and institutions. Government offices may have limited availability due to staffing levels.
Mandatory mask-wearing is being strictly enforced. Violators may be subject to fines and detention.
The following restrictions are in place:
Wedding halls, funeral homes, and mosques will be closed until further notice.
Social gatherings are banned.
There is a reduction of the working hours at government departments and institutions by 50% (except for the Ministry of Health).
Government departments are permitted to allow 50% general staffing and 25% for pregnant employees and those caring for children under 6 years of age.
All sporting events are banned until further notice.
All service and hospitality industry workers, medical staff at private and public clinics and hospitals, and teachers and educators must be fully vaccinated before being allowed to come to work.

Masks are required in public spaces regardless of vaccination status, as are adherence to social distancing regulations.
Since February 1, entrance to public spaces will be denied to those who cannot produce a negative result from a valid test taken within the past 48 hours or a COVID-19 vaccination card.
Employees and visitors at government institutions must wear masks when visiting the institutions.
