What to do in Ile de Gan et Atoll d'Addu : Tips, places, hotels and restaurants
Gan is part of the atoll of Addu and has a little more than 1000 inhabitants, out of the 28 000 of the atoll. The island of Gan served as a military base for the Royal Air Force during the Second World War. Tourism developed there after the departure of the British forces in the 1970s, and now occupies a prominent place. You will discover a charming port and you can practice tennis, sailing and cycling, ideal for exploring the island and its magical landscapes. The atoll itself is composed of 6 inhabited islands and you will enjoy the beaches with their turquoise waters, where to try surfing or windsurfing, or even diving in exceptional seabed. We reach the atoll through its international airport, and we travel across the islands by bicycle (bridges connect several islands with each other). A nature destination at the end of the world.
