Iceland: Climate & Weather

Obviously, you will not visit Iceland for its climate; however, the cold weather is not unbearable: Summer offers temperatures between 10ºC and 20°C with rain and winds, and especially sudden changes in the weather.

Winter is quite cold with night temperatures down to -15°C. In general, this cool weather is made up for by such spectacular phenomena as the midnight sun in summer (in June, the North of the country does not see the dark at night) and the Aurora Borealis can be observed during winter in the North during clear weather.

However, the best time to visit Iceland is between June and September if you want to benefit from the tourism infrastructure before closure!
