Commercial flights to Bujumbura International Airport have now resumed at a reduced capacity.
It is no longer required to present a negative COVID-19 test to travel to Burundi. However, there is a COVID-19 test taken upon arrival, which costs $100. There is no longer a requirement to present a negative COVID-19 test to depart Burundi unless the onward destination requires it.
Those who test positive for COVID-19 will be requested to quarantine at home after obtaining a treatment kit from one of the designated test centers provided by the Ministry of Health.
