Dubai is undoubtedly the city that consistently dominates tourism headlines worldwide, particularly when it comes to groundbreaking innovations. This Emirati metropolis continues to show us what tomorrow’s megacities will look like, from their architecture and urban planning to the services and amenities designed for both residents and tourists.
The World’s Tallest Hotel
Once again, all eyes are turning skyward. In addition to being home to the world’s tallest building – the famous Burj Khalifa we’ve covered before – Dubai will soon welcome the world’s tallest hotel as well.
Hotel Ciel is set to open its doors to first guests in early 2026, following several years and billions in construction costs. Built on the waterfront in the heart of Dubai Marina, the establishment will be within walking distance of the city’s main attractions and entertainment hubs, including the expansive Dubai Marina Mall, Jumeirah Beach, and Skydive Dubai.
As for the impressive details: the hotel will boast 82 floors housing 1,004 rooms and 147 suites, with nightly rates expected to reach sky-high levels as well. The crown jewel of amenities will be an infinity pool perched on the skyscraper’s rooftop, making it the world’s highest infinity pool in its category.
For those interested, the hotel’s marketing promises: “Stay at the world’s tallest hotel and enjoy breathtaking views of Palm Jumeirah from the world’s highest infinity pool. A true award-winning architectural icon in the heart of Dubai Marina, all rooms and suites feature floor-to-ceiling windows offering stunning views and luxurious, modern interiors.” Truly a one-of-a-kind destination…
