What to do in Sidi Ifni : Tips, places, hotels and restaurants
Located in Morocco on the Atlantic Ocean, 160 kilometers south of Agadir, Sidi Ifni has about 20,000 residents. Perched on a cliff, it lives mainly in fishery products, and still attracts relatively few tourists, given its distance, despite many advantages, such as its beautiful beaches and small sandy coves, some very favorable for surfing: the Legzira is a must, with its imposing arches carved into the red rock. There is also the Art Deco buildings, remains of the Spanish occupation and 30s, as the old admiralty cathedral now used as a court, the presbytery became a bookcase, the lighthouse, the governor's palace, and many residential houses. You will find an almost permanent animation Hassan II Square and stunning ocean views from the top of the pedestrian esplanade. You will discover the activity of the port where landed sardines and sea bream each afternoon in a joyful cacophony. Sidi Ifni, you can visit the hinterland and its Berber villages on the hillside, the gorge of Wadi Noun where admire pink flamingos, herons and turtles, small valleys where grow argan trees and prickly pear, village Tioughza after its scenic route. Do not miss the souk of Sunday morning where we find fruits, vegetables and spices for nothing. Sidi Ifni is accessed by road from Marrakech via Agadir and Tiznit, or by plane landing at Agadir finally by road to Sidi Ifni.
