Capital of Montenegro, Podgorica is between the Dinaric Alps and the Adriatic Sea, and can be visited throughout the year. It is crossed by two rivers, the Moraca and Ribnica, and Skadar lake is fifteen kilometers. The city offers tourists both beautiful beaches of the Adriatic, and the joys of the nearby mountain. But she also has an amazing architecture, witness her story full of surprises: in the old town overlooking the Ottoman style, then there are very clear traces of the Soviet period after the second world war that destroyed most of the old buildings, and finally the 90s gave way to modern architecture which combines glass and steel softened by numerous green spaces. The international airport is located about ten kilometers from the center, south of the city. In town, you can move by taxi, or by taking a shuttle system.
