Located 200 km south of Marrakech, Ouarzazate is a city of 200,000 inhabitants built at the foot of the Atlas, at 1200 meters altitude and is called the Gateway to the Desert. Very popular with filmmakers cinema because of its exceptional brightness, the city is now home to film studios, publicly accessible, and a film museum. Kasbah Taourirt is now classified by UNESCO World Heritage Site, but there are several other kasbahs, scattered throughout the city and worthy of your interest.
