Nantes unfolds on the banks of the Loire, but already we feel there an Atlantic Ocean perfume, which is about fifty kilometers. Situated on the edge of Brittany, it is a vibrant university city, a major port (paired with Saint-Nazaire), but also a green city (having received the Green Capital of Europe in 2013) possessing many parks and green spaces, not to mention its architectural heritage, which shines among others in its medieval part, despite the damage caused by the bombings of World War II.
