City UK, Manchester has about 500,000 inhabitants, but its metropolitan area has more than two million. Situated north-west of London, it is very close to the Pennine mountain range and now plays a major financial role in the economy. It also attracts many tourists due to its cultural activity and its monuments but also for its nightlife and its dynamism. It is reached by an international airport, the second after London, which is linked to all Europe, and move intramural are facilitated by an efficient network of buses and trams.
