What to do in London : Tips, places, hotels and restaurants
The capital of the United Kingdom, London has a population of just over 7 million. This very dynamic cultural and cosmopolitan city is also a global financial centre. A popular tourist destination, it has many attractive features; architecturally, commercially and culturally. The fact that English is an international language is also a touristic asset. You will discover many famous London landmarks such as Oxford Street, the longest shopping street in the world, Bond Street and its many boutiques, Camden market dedicated to fashion, antiques at Portobello, a number of renowned museums such as the British Museum and the National Gallery, theatres such as the Royal Opera House and the Coliseum Theatre, not forgetting of course famous monuments including the Tower of London, Westminster Palace, Buckingham Palace, Nelson's Column in Trafalgar Square, and Kensington Palace. Take a relaxing break lounging in the royal parks that bring nature into the heart of the city, such as Bushy Park with its white-tailed deer, Hyde Park of course and its Serpentine Lake with boats, or Regent's Park with its zoo, rose garden and outdoor theatre. For your accommodation, you can choose between hostels, bed & breakfast and hotels. The Underground (Metro) and bus services make travelling throughout the city easy.
