Once rather ignored by European tourists, the Philippine archipelago now knows in its whole or almost a certain craze carried by its colonial vestiges, the local cultures, an exuberant nature, and especially magnificent beaches and recognized diving spots.
On the practical side, the Philippines is composed of more than 7,000 islands, often wooded, mountainous and of volcanic origin, extending over more than 1,700 kilometers towards the equator. On the whole eleven of them represent 95% of the territory, only 2 000 are inhabited and 2 500 do not even have a name.
