What to do in Pas de la Casa : Tips, places, hotels and restaurants
Town of Andorra located at the French border, at 2000 meters altitude, Pas de la Casa is a ski resort located on the only road between the two states. It is also a cross-border trade center, thanks to its zero-rated products, the highest pass in the Pyrenees, and the highest municipality in Europe, 30 km from the city center of Andorra la Vella. Pas de la Casa has about 3000 inhabitants. Built at the foot of the slopes of the Granvalira resort, the largest ski area in the Pyrenees, the city also offers many hikes to be made in summer. Ideal for skiing and shopping, the city has however little charm because of a rather anarchic urban development. So it will be essentially a nature stay that you will do at the Pas de la Casa, with, in addition to skiing or walking, paragliding, quad biking, mountain biking, fishing (trout and salmon) at Lake Abelletes, horseback riding. You will find a wide variety of accommodation at all prices. You can reach the Pas de la case from France by the N20 from Ax-les-Thermes or by the N320 from Porté-Puymorens, or by train arriving at the Hospitalet station in Ariège then taking a shuttle that will take you to town.
