Malta is planning to lift all restrictions by the summer and has begun its multi-tiered opening.
Vaccine certificates are no longer be required for entry to restaurants, bars and clubs. Vaccine certificates arde still needed for entry to large events, sports games, gaming halls, nightclubs and for travel.
Bars, restaurants, museums, theatres, and other places no longer have limitations to their operating hours.
Weddings and all other social activities can resume as normal.
The face mask mandate in public spaces has been removed, with the exception of mass events. Masks are no longer be mandatory in Malta, except in hospitals and in care homes.
Since April 11, outdoor standing events are allowed to resume. This only applies for for vaccinated people if the event is held indoors.
