What to do in Dinard : Tips, places, hotels and restaurants

DinardFrench city of the region of Brittany, Dinard is also a famous seaside resort and has a little less than 10 000 inhabitants. The city was home to a wealthy French population as early as the 19th century and many English aristocrats who came to breathe the fresh air of the Emerald Coast, and there are still beautiful Belle Epoque mansions, but also more examples of architecture. whimsical, like some that mimic English cottages or Italian villas. You can also discover the walk at the foot of the cliffs which joins Saint-Lunaire, or Pointe du Moulinet which offers you a superb panorama on Saint-Malo. Still charming today, and very dynamic, the city serves as a setting for the British Film Festival, and it attracts all year round many tourists. You will appreciate its gardens that go down to the sea, the "Walk in the Moonlight" and its exotic garden, the beach of the Ecluse, in the city center, with its fine sand and its swimming pool of sea water, its numerous art galleries, its colorful and lively market, the Eugenie villa built in 1868 for the wife of Napoleon III (who never set foot there), the tip of the Vicomte with its walkway and its mansion, the over 150-year-old Grand Hotel, the St. Bartholomew's Anglican Church, which bears witness to the British presence, the 14th century Black Prince's house, and the Harbor Island Fort, not to mention the casino and the halls of the Concorde. See also, the statue in tribute to Hitchcock and his film Birds. You can reach Dinard by road from Saint-Malo by the express way, or with the shuttle boat, and by plane landing at Dinard Pleurtuit Saint-Malo airport.
