Located in California, Los Angeles is the second city in the U.S., just behind New York. Its metropolitan area has a little more than eighteen million inhabitants. Nicknamed the City of Angels, it enjoys a Mediterranean climate with mild winters and hot summers.
A feature of the city is that it extends over 100 kilometers from north to south, and it has no real downtown. Tourism occupies an important place, with attractions such as Disneyland Park or the Universal Studios Hollywood.
Other DoLandmarks, Sunset Boulevard, Melrose Avenue or the boutiques of Beverly Hills attract visitors, as well as Venice Beach or the Malibu. A number of museums are also worth a visit: for example the Art Museum of Los Angeles County, the Museum of Neon Art, the California Science Center.
Several places offer musical or theatrical performances, and graffiti and murals scattered throughout many parts of the city. Do not miss out on some buildings to the remarkable architecture: the Los Angeles Central Library with its Egyptian aspect, the Bradbury Building in Italian Renaissance style, and several skyscrapers over 200 meters high.
