The Republic of Malta, at the center of the Mediterranean basin, is one of the sunniest countries in Europe. It benefits all year of a sunny and pleasant temperatures. However, the island is located less than 400 km from the Libyan coast and summers can be hot. Thus, it is best to arrive between March and June to avoid the rainy season (November to February) and be protected from excessive heat. What to do ?
Malta is a paradise for scuba diving and cruises at sea, the discovery of small islands that make up this beautiful archipelago. While the coasts bordering each portion of land are steep and sharply cut into the rock, they are full of small coves and quiet beaches, such as Gnajna Bay, Golden Bay or the Bay St. George. But beyond the simple joys of the sea, Malta also offers a course rich in emotions, especially for lovers of history and archeology. The Cottonera, formed by the three villages of Vittoriosa, Senglea and of Cospiana, for example, is the ideal place to discover one of the earliest forms of human habitation. Indeed, in Paola is an impressive network of underground caves, World Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO, it is built around 4 400 years and whose visit is well worth a visit. Two paintings by Caravaggio are particularly exposed, as well as instruments of torture dating from the Inquisition. Malta : The basics

An ordinary but comfortable room will cost around 40 euros and a meal at a restaurant in mid-range hotel will return to about 15-20 euros per person. Several airlines such as Air Malta, Air France-KLM and Lufthansa serve regular Valletta and links to other European capitals.
