What to do in Houston : Tips, places, hotels and restaurants

HoustonCity of Texas in the United States, Houston has a little more than two million inhabitants. Populated with many skyscrapers, the city has however kept older structures: 19th century buildings around Old Market Square, reconstruction of a shopping street of the same period in Long Row, for example. Tourists visiting Houston will not fail to visit Space Center, NASA's only site open to the public, and where it addresses the discovery of space in a playful way. They will also discover the zoo and its 4,500 exotic animals, the Museum of Natural Science in Hermann Park, and numerous parks scattered throughout the city.

In artistic terms, Houston has a symphony orchestra, an opera, a ballet company and a theater very dynamic. Several museums are worth visiting, especially the Menil Collection, the Contemporary Arts Museum and The Heritage Society Museum. One of the other attractions of the city is that it is close to the coast and marinas, and beaches. You will travel easily by car because the road network is very impressive ... but that does not traffic!

Don't visit the city during summer because the temperatures are very high humidity and often unbearable.
