Several airlines serve Mexico from France and Europe.
There is no visa required for stays of less than three months. The current currency is the peso. The budget plan is more modest: a room will cost around 30 €, except in high season when prices are rising, and food very correct less than 10 €, without the tip (between 10 and 15% of total). Restaurants are many and there is something for every budget. Concerning health, Mexico hit the headlines with influenza A-H1N1: you monitor things on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs before leaving. It is advisable anyway to be up to date with vaccinations classics, plus those against hepatitis A and typhoid. Protect yourself from mosquitoes because of dengue, and beware of any killer bees. Never drink tap water. To travel around the country, the aircraft is clearly the best over long distances. Buses are also present and very comfortable. Renting a car is convenient but very expensive. |
