What to do in Mogadishu : Tips, places, hotels and restaurants
Capital of Somalia, Mogadishu is located on the Indian Ocean southeast of the country, and has just under a million and a half inhabitants. Scene of fighting that have almost continuously since 1991, the city is emptied of some of its inhabitants and we have only rough estimates of current population. Its economy remains, however, despite the war, and the city has an international airport and an important port which generates substantial revenues. Much of the city being destroyed, there are around camps where many residents. Under these conditions, the tour is obviously little conceivable. However, there are websites to report, as the mosque from the 13th century, Garesa 19th century palace, or the National Museum. In another context, it might also enjoy the beautiful sandy beaches, admire the old town the remains of Italian buildings, visit the Old Market camel, or go to discover local wildlife, camels, monkeys, small antelopes called dik- dik, zebras and giraffes ...
